The short version
- We collect only what you choose to give us, like your email and details about your job.
- We use it to prepare what you asked for and to tell you about CounterHR.
- We never contact your employer, and we never sell your information.
- Email us anytime to see or delete your data.
What we collect
When you join the beta, we collect your email address and any optional details you enter, such as job title, city, employer, a sign-by date or how much you'd pay for a report. The free calculators run in your browser. If you then join the beta, a short summary of your calculator result is saved with your request so we can personalize your report.
We also collect basic usage data, such as pages visited, the site you came from and campaign tags in the link you clicked. We may use analytics and advertising tools (for example Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok or Reddit pixels) to measure which pages and ads work. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies.
How we use it
- To prepare and send the report or review you requested.
- To contact you about your request and about CounterHR. You can unsubscribe anytime.
- To understand what's useful and improve the product.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run CounterHR, such as website hosting, form processing, email and analytics, and only as needed to provide the service. We don't sell your personal information. We never share anything with your employer.
Documents you send us
If you share a document, like a severance agreement or benefits guide, we use it only to prepare your report. We delete it when your report is delivered, unless you ask us to keep it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@counterhr.com. You can block cookies in your browser settings.

CounterHR is not a law firm, accounting firm or financial advisor. Our calculators, reports and reviews are general information and negotiation support based on public data and the details you provide. They may not reflect every law or policy that applies to you. For advice about your specific situation, talk to a licensed professional.
Beta terms
CounterHR is in beta. Free reports are offered to a limited number of early members while spots last. Features and prices may change. We do our best to be accurate but can't guarantee results, such as getting a raise or a better severance package.
